C2C Attends Aspen Opportunity Youth Forum Convening
Cradle to Career Program Manager and Isaiah Francisco, the Healthy Masculinity Coordinator at Goodwill METRO REC both represented Youth on the Rise at the Aspen Opportunity Youth Forum Spring Convening from May 22-24th in Austin, Texas.
The Aspen Opportunity Youth Forum is a network of over forty collaboratives across the country that are working to reconnect Opportunity Youth to education and career pathways. The convening provides an opportunity for connection with other organizations doing this work to learn and share strategies.
At the convening, Lewis and Francisco attended sessions focused on evidence-based practices around belonging, meaning, wellbeing, and purpose, applying those to a commitment to advancing racial equity and expanding justice.
The convening also provided an opportunity for C2C to learn from other communities about their strategies and successes with expanding workforce development and career pathways, which has been identified as a priority for C2C over the next few years.
